Re: Tabalugas

Oh I see now @TAB didn't quite understand what you meant. Yes its certainly mislabelling. I thought it may have been contaminated. Its cooler here today. May go off and make an apricot slice if my food processor doesn't blow up. Wouldn't be surprised if I had that to contend with with Uranus/Mars setting my nerves on end. lol. Enjoy your day. I hope the weather is a bit better where you are today! 🙂

Re: Tabalugas

Hello @Oaktree its certainly the type of day to get into the garden here in Melbourne. I'm looking forward to my walk if the light rain holds off.

Re: Tabalugas

..been to shops, got community paper @Meowmy  and snacks. feeling better. still have nap tho . wind blowing, airing house , still cooler outside.

Re: Tabalugas

@TAB hey tabby, hope you're okay and your house cooling down. Had a nap. Going to do some volunteering work tonight for church. Just having a rest for a bit now. Take care.

Re: Tabalugas

@TAB prepared an apricot slice without a hitch again. Thought food processor might jump off the bench though with all the almonds whizzing around.  Its now set in the freezer and I had a bite before. YUM! Are you all rested up now?  I also made some hyaluronic skin serum today for the first time ever. It will end up saving me plenty of money each month. Tomorrow will get stuck into Crypto book and do house tidying again. Its never ending lol

Re: Tabalugas

yes, rested here , thanks @SmilingGecko  yeah nuts hard work for blender . we used to have little hand mill that would do that , had tiny little square tin hopper that screwed ontop of a jar . just sprinkle nuts in and turn handle. it could only do it very slowly and would feed itself by gravity.

..exactly like that, even same pattern. would not trust an old on though, esp not sight unseen as has forks that break eventually

Re: Tabalugas

My parents had something similar but it was made of plastic - from the 70's. Possibly from Tupperware or Avon or some mail order company - it was a nut grinder but had no receptacle. The food processor on the other hand minces the apricots/dates/almonds. I got it from Kmart and its still going. Got to make some sweet potato bites tomorrow when my produce gets delivered and that will be my treats for the week.  Its been so rainy here @TAB
