Little gripes

If any of you have read my previous posts you will know that I watch an enormous amount of television current affairs. I'm just wondering if anyone else is annoyed by the misuse of English by presenters and reporters eg. Gunna instead of going to, Nelly instead of nearly, Gel instead of girl.....

Gotta instead of got to?

@Taali, me too - my bugbear is poor pronunciation sports casters usually irritate me with the word "debut" - its not pronouned "dayboo" lol. I laugh at myself these days, it does get up my nose though, mainly because I have good spelling and grammar (never use spellcheck). I also get a bit peeved when the word processor software keeps making suggestions and treating me like an idiot! So I turn them all off. Funny creatures we are indeed.:)
