Re: Christian Chat

@Realness  The support button can take up to 15 seconds to react to pressing it, and then when pressed again before it responds it tells us it is unable, but stops the action from before. And can then be pressed again. Or otherwise after a reload. At least on my browser it works like that.

I'm here! 🙂@Realness @DownMoreThanUp

I mightn't have much to say and can't focus on long posts but I'm not planning on going anywhere! I love the idea of sharing from your theology course, Realness. 💚

Re: Christian Chat

Hello @heartathome I have been having the same problem in other threads. It means I cant even respond to a person's post, if there are 4 more posters since I was tagged.  Hope they fix the glitch generally.

Lectio Divina April 2026 in PDF format

I have been influenced by Ignatian and Carmelite forms of spirituality which focus on LECTIO DIVINA. It tends to be more reflective and contemplative.  It is essential to my style.  A couple in the mental health show were grateful for my calm and felt more calm after being with me, although I was going through adrenaline surges, and my wits were totally addled by all that has been going on.

Love your choice to post about those who are burdened and weary HEART AT HOME.  I needed it, and have loved that scripture and approach for many decades.

I also talked with 2 people at our family gathering about other forms of meditation. My friend did TM Transcendental Meditation, and my half Chinese nephew has started Zen Buddhism.  I think he was quite surprised that I have done Raj Yoga and various Buddhist practices since the 1980s before he was even born.  My beliefs and practices have needed to be broad to cope with the range of challenges I have faced.  I would not have survived without Eastern spiritual practices to balance the lack and issues in my own church.

My other nephew, left our gathering to do his Sunday duty, and went to my old city church where I had an ambulance event 10 years ago, after being abused by a snobby uppity soprano in the church choir. I did not get triggered by the memory or association, or even have the time or space to tell him about it, although he is all grown up at 40.  just too many people with too many needs, so we trudge on.  My son needs prayers.

We draw from the wells of tender strength and inspiration where we can.

Re: Christian Chat

Great to hear from you @Appleblossom !

@heartathome , @DownMoreThanUp , @ENKELI , @Shaz51 , @tyme , @MissGremlin ,

Today I spent time in Revelation starting at chapter four. Chapters 4 and 5 have verses I have used in prayer for many years.

From memory (a mixture of translations I think):

"Holy, holy, holy is the Lord God Almighty Who was, Who is and Who is to come."

"You are worthy, Our Lord and God, to receive glory and honour and praise. For you created all things and it is for your pleasure they exist and have their being."

"You are worthy to take the scroll and break open its seals. For by your sacrificial death you have bought for God people from every tribe, language, nation and people. You have made them a kingdom of priests to serve our God and they shall rule on earth."

"To him who sits on the throne, and to the Lamb, be praise and honour and glory and power, forever and ever. Amen.

Re: Christian Chat

@Realness Such is truly awesome to hear you confess. 👍

i do also know that this word alive in the heart has us live a little this wonderful truth you confess here in prayer and adoration of Him who is, was and is to come in Spirit.🎉

@Appleblossom @heartathome @ENKELI @tyme

i reckon that is what the book of Revelation is all about. A revelation of The word incarnated right within our lives living Jesus' righteousness in His Spirit Romans 8 style.  We as believers truly connecting to His truth even in our suffering lives down here spiritually. For us to be loved by God to be despite our shortcomings and failures.

For Revelation 4 & 5 give us the the very words that makes us already in part a part of the Eternal  worship of The Lamb - worship along with all those saved from their sins and adore Him. We as believers meeting our Lord Jesus, where He laid down His life for us sinners so we could become God's own - Christ's righteous truth merging with our wretchedness and so setting us free from it.

i reckon Jesus revealed within is the most blessed reality believing in truth of God's word. He is real. He brings true forgiveness. He makes me able to be and do the things i otherwise never could. My goal in life is to let Jesus transform me His loving truth, not ever again my efforts to shape myself up to be acceptable to Him.

Hearing Spirit Words Within.

To you following Me within.
My beloved, once your love burned bright,
My love your beacon through the darkest night.
But now adoration in your heart has grown cold,
no inner fire for My truth and love to hold.
I see you toil daily in your carnal might—
return to Me, let love again be your light.
Feast on the Tree of Life; be robed in God’s right.

To you hurting the wicked within.
Be strong, beloved—I know your suffering is real,
yet through each trial My truth to you I reveal.
Do not fear the accusations the dragon roars,
a crown awaits all whom My truth adores.
I know you are poor, yet in Me richly true,
walking God’s high Way in all that you do.
This fiery trial will form My Life in you.

To you stuck fighting your sin within.
Beloved, to heed a guilty conscience’s lies
lets the faithful witness within you die.
Clinging to the letter sows an adulterous way,
neglecting what My Spirit in love would say.
Repent, return to only heeding Me,
eat hidden manna—My image you’ll be.
For in Me, your heart lives accusation-free.

To you easily allured by religious texts within.
Beloved, why let false religion reign,
ensnared by her glamour, her idolatrous chain?
Yet still you held fast at times to depart,
clinging to truth in My gracious heart.
To you I give authority over your way,
beside Me in My Kingdom you will stay,
reigning in My glory, in My throne’s array.

To you  living a world focussed life within.
Beloved, eternal life in truth is at stake,
for you are near dead, though you think you awake.
Rise now—strengthen what still remains,
before all is lost in silent chains.
You are deaf, blind, and numb within—
only My Living Word restores again.
Walk with Me in white, made pure from sin.

To you who loves God’s own without and within.
Beloved, your love for God’s own shines bright,
you’ve kept My word and not denied My light.
So I will keep you through trial’s might,
a pillar in the temple I build inside.
My new name will make you alive in Me,
and never again will you from Me flee.
My life your beacon through misery.

To you not living out of My Love within.
Beloved, where wealth and pride abide,
you are lukewarm—neither cold nor alive inside.
Blind and poor, though you think you see,
come, buy refined gold from Me.
I clothe you in white, your sight made sure—
repent, let your heart in love endure.
To reign with Me is to love All in All secure.

Revealtion 19:11-21 The Word in full action saving us from the lies ruling us sin's misery.Revealtion 19:11-21 The Word in full action saving us from the lies ruling us sin's misery.

Re: Christian Chat

In the Bible, there’s a difference between falling into wrongdoing and becoming comfortable with it. A heart that still grieves over sin, struggles against it, or longs for truth is very different from a heart that celebrates evil or no longer cares. 🙏

1 Corinthians 13:6 (ICB):

“Love is not happy with evil, but is happy with the truth.”

Re: Christian Chat

@heartathome @DownMoreThanUp @Realness @Appleblossom you have all been in my thoughts and prayers the past week while I was IMO wrongly "paused" from the forums.

@DownMoreThanUp I have especially been praying for you as you go through your struggles my brother. I am trying to catch up on what's been happening in your life and am sorry to hear you're still going through the fire. That you remember Jesus is beside you is great, I know your struggle is difficult. To go through what you are without mental health issues is difficult enough, much less with the complex issues you face.
I used to say God only gives the tough battles to the strongest believers but I think it's more that we are resilient, not strong.

I hope and pray your days get better xo
You my dear brother are stronger in your faith than many many people I know.
