Re: NEW WORD TODAY

Love it Tawney ... That one used to do my head in. Philosophy tied itself up in knots with big words ... that's why it is good to have a discipline re number of words and number of letters ... I know I can rave on ... or seem abrupt ... still trying to find the right verbal length and quality ... Dear mods still many forum glitches ,,, 'not authenticated' pages coming up and not allowing me to like. Also it seems a site problem as it usually happens when the "quick reply" and "like" buttons are reversed on the screen .. I know when I see that ... it is going to be frustrating ...

NAMASTE
Namaste (/ˈnɑːməsteɪ/, nah-məs-tay).
Is a respectful form of greeting. The gesture is widely used throughout India, Nepal, parts of Asia and beyond where people of South and Southeast Asian origins have migrated.
Namaste or namaskar acknowledges and welcomes a relative, guest or stranger. It is used with good byes as well. In some contexts, namaste is used by one person to express gratitude for assistance offered or given, and to thank the other person for his or her generous kindness.
Namaste is usually spoken with a slight bow and hands pressed together, palms touching and fingers pointing upwards, thumbs close to the chest. This gesture is called Añjali Mudrā  or  Pranamasana.  In Hinduism it means
"I BOW TO THE DIVINE IN YOU".
The greeting may also be spoken without the gesture or the gesture performed wordlessly, carrying the same meaning.

Here's a useful one to look up @Former-Member

DICHOTOMY It's a good one but I find having to look up the meaning of a word myself makes me remember it which is why I'm leaving you to do the work. 😉
