Joining a new social group can be a challenge, but is often easier than moving into a new place. One step at a time. I had very basic neglectful care growing up, and do not much go for pampering. Give the care you feel is appropriate and dont force yourself to do more. I liked this artwork and thought you might too. Volunteering may help, but I would also build a healthcare team, maybe with a gp, psychologist and psychiatrist. Facing up to the fact of your mum passing and/or needeing to be in aged care is all parcel of end of life discussions.

Iife is all about money, you have or you dont, the mental heath aspec impacts big time if you dont have money...thats life !...being a mindfull "guru" does not pay the bills..being "mindfull" as the ability to forget short term but without coin........

I'm not good on tips for keeping busy @Meowmy I snuggle up with Toby, watch tv, do a little housework - pretty boring things. Others use music or meditations. I suppose it depends what you like and what can fill your afternoon.
